5. piggy coasters (not much real use. just a impulse bought, cuz they are so so cute)
6.nice-coloured crepe paper (dunno wad i got them for too, they were just pretty. haha)

oh damn
went to the optical shop to get my eyes tested since everything has been a blurry sea lately.
more specifically, since my very intelligent act of sleeping with my cheapo, bought-in-a-rush contacts on
and the eye test showed a sudden, huge, drastic and scary in the degree of my astigmatism
which is actually caused by this swelling and/or infection in my eye due to my very intelligent act of neligience
apparently, this was caused by the lack of oxygen since a sleeping person has only 8 percent of oxygen available to the eye as compared to the 21 percent when one is awake
and the guy very nicely said that lack of oxygen to the eye can cause one to go blind
bleah
and to allow my eyes to recover, i am not supposed to wear contacts for these two weeks
i would have gladly obliged if not for the fact that i got a camp to attend tmr
so ya
bleah
this is not good
and my vision is still blur even now
serious bleah


lessons learnt:
1. NEVER NEVER EVER buy cheapo contacts again
2. ALWAYS, i mean ALWAYS, remember to take your contacts off before you sleep

it is not a very long walk but i woke myself up from my nap to go for the non-existent lesson

on a brighter note, i think i found an interesting job with rather good pay for the month of july
as a faciliator for kids on english language immersion programmes to singapore
the itenary sounds pretty interesting and fun
and it will be kinda like securing a job for myself whenever i have vacation breaks in future

everything is a big blur
no, i have my specs on, now at least
credit to the intelligent me for going to sleep last nite without taking my contacts off

hence, i woke up with red, no, bloodshot eyes this morning
and everything was a blur
cant see anything properly
not even when i have my specs on
i am simply typing all these based on my fingers' instinct

i dun really wan go to within 5 cm of the monitor to see what appears
the amazing thing is i actually went out wihtout my specs

hence i walked around town in my half blind state

my mum is making rice dumplings now
yes,at this moment
at almost eleven at night
and according to her, dumplings will take abt 4 hours to cook
hence, i think they should be about ready at like maybe 3 am in the morning
seriously
i think my mum can be a bit, well, unusual


and i am not a big fan of rice dumplings
in fact, the smell of the leaves used to wrap the rice can be a bit nauseating after a while
at least its only an annual affair

but i am a freaking science student who happens to be inapt at expressing my thoughts
